The first time I came across Chickpea Magazine I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Beautiful design, stunning photography, recipes I've been trying to work out a vegan way to make for months and writing like I'd never come across for food, let alone veganism. I couldn't believe I'd only just stumbled across it.
Chickpea's all-inclusive attitude is one I have also been into from first becoming vegan and every issue is a gorgeous exploration of the season it's dedicated to. As I've mentioned before, I'm a total magazine geek, and seeing your name in print on the pages of something you adore is just the biggest kick. It makes all the other things worthwhile just to hold something so great in your hands, put it on your bookcase, know you helped in one tiny way make that issue what it is.
Anyway, I'm going off on one. I've got a recipe for vegan crumpets in the Spring issue. You can buy the magazine here in various different formats starting at $4, or if you're reading this in London, head over to Foyles' main branch in Soho, as that's the only UK stockist. You can also preview the issue here.
