All-round lovely lass Jenny Oakenfull and I have teamed up to create GOOD + FULL (it's our names! It's meant to be!), a series of seasonal supper club nights based in Manchester. They're vegan, they focus on what's available locally, and they'll be taking place four times a year.
For our very first night, we've been lucky enough to team up with two awesome Manchester companies I couldn't be happier to work with- Idle Hands, who will be hosting us, and GRUB, who are basically behind all the great food stuff that's making Manchester such a fun place to be food-obsessed in.
We'll be taking over Idle Hands for one night- Friday 25th September- serving three courses designed to share, inspired by what's in season. We want to create food you'll talk over incessantly and then sneak back for thirds.
What's the idea behind Good + Full? Jenny and I have been mates from York for probably ten years, but her knowledge of Manchester and its food scene, as well as her ridiculous talent for making puddings and deserts meant we really wanted to come up with something we could work on together.
We'd love it if you could join us for our first party - tickets are on sale now at £15 for three courses, and Grub will be running a cash bar on the night too. We've had some incredible help from Amy Tidmarsh, who has designed all the illustrations and graphics to create Good + Full, as well as a few more surprises from talented friends up our sleeves for the night itself!
