TOTALLY TROPICAL KEY LIME PIE
I've made this pie at almost every Crochet Retreat and it goes down a storm each time. If you haven't heard of agar agar, it's probably been right under your nose all this time. You can find it in a lot of health food shops, near the cornstarch or vegetable gelatin. It's a little pricy per box- around £5, but you'll only need a few tea spoons per pie, so you'll easily get 5 pies out of one box.
For anyone that doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth- this is quite a savoury tasting pie and quite tart- it’s great with coffee after dinner, and then you can chat about agar like it’s NBD. If you want to up the decadence stakes, top off with whipped coconut cream.
